We have mirrors, mirrors and more mirrors. They are in a few different sizes and actually look a little funny in a couple of the wet areas. Not too fussed though.

Handover Booked in for 17th June 2010!!!

Went out to the house to check out the concrete work this afternoon and take some pics. Looks like a few other things have also been done. External painting has had its first coat on, the guys have also moved the water tank closer to its final location and though I couldn't see it I have been told that the mirrors have been installed in the bathrooms.

Also got a call from the SS tonight letting us know that handover will be next Thursday. He was going to try to push it to this Friday so that we can have the house for the long weekend, but I told him to take his time and finish off what needs to be done. Our independent inspection will be happening this Friday. So it will also give Wisdom a few days to fix up any issues that might arise as well.

Now that we have a handover date booked in its time to start organising everything for the move. We also need to organise a few things for the new house like TV antenna, Internet connection and foxtel.

Driveway Poured

Got a heads up yesterday that the concretors have finally been able to get to our site and pour our driveway. I couldn't help myself this morning and had to get out there for a look. It was still a bit dark this morning while I was there, but it looks ok from what I can see.

Still no word from our SS about when handover will be. But given that the weather has now cleared up I am hoping we can get in by Friday. If not some time next week the keys should be ours.

We have had our PCI....not long to go now

We went through with our PCI today even though there were a few more things that needed to be done. The PCI went pretty well. There were the standard paint touch ups that needed to be done and a few other minor items that needed adjusting, cleaning or replacement.

Even though we are getting close to having the keys, there are still a few things that need to be done before we have handover. Handover is still penciled in for late next week. However, that will be dependent on the Sydney weather and how fast our bank is to release the final payment.

The following items should be happening over the next week before handover:

• External Painting
• Some downpipes
• Water Tank
• Driveway and concrete path

The following will get installed after handover

• Dishwasher
• Cooktop and Oven
• Air Conditioning
